I took this shot a couple of weeks ago during a walk across the Fahy Bridge in Bethlehem, PA. The bridge spans the Lehigh River and connects South Bethlehem to Bethhem’s Historic District. I used the Tonality app to give enhance the colors slightly with the Hint of Color filter. The view is looking north, from the south end of the bridge. The bridge was built in 1972 and was totally reconstructed in 2016 and 2017, including new railings for the pedestrian walkway.

I set out on my first walk of the new year this afternoon and decided to take a walk down Delaware Canal Towpath. It was certainly a beautiful day, with the sun shining bright. It was very cold today as well, with high temperature only reaching 18 degrees. I really didn’t mind it. This is my third winter in PA since I moved back East from Southern California and I have finally built up my collection of cold weather gear to the point where I feel well prepared for extended period of extreme cold. For this winter a added a pair of Merrell FST Moab Ice+Thermo hiking boots and a Polartec Balaclava. I did not need the Balaclava today, but I carry with me at all times in case I have break it out.
Here is a short video I made on the Towpath, along with a few still shots I took while I was on the trail.

I took these pictures of the enormous blast furnaces at the Bethlehem Steel plant, which shut down in 1995. The former steel plant has been converted to a mixed-use development called Steel Stacks, which now includes a movie theater, indoor ice, bar, restraunts and a Sands casino.

Published May 1, 2016 Apple , Architecture , iPhone , Lehigh Valley , Pennsylvania , Photography , Uncategorized Leave a CommentI have been in the market for a new phone for quite a while, but after much deliberation I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a new Apple iPhone SE two weeks ago. So far, I am very pleased it. I bought the 64GB $499.00 model and think it is a terrific value. I will write a more detailed review in a few weeks, but I think it the “little” SE delivers great performance. One of the best things about the phone is it’s 12 MP camera, the exact same camera that is the top of the line iPhone 6S has. The SE also uses the same high performance A9chip as the 6S.
I have already taken quite a few pictures with the SE. Here are a few of my favorites of the last weeks..
