I made a trip in to New York this past Sunday, with stops a various spots in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Good trip, the weather was beautiful and the pace of the city seemed leisurely slow that day. Late in the afternoon I decided to take a load off my feet in the shaded Liz Christy Garden on the the corner of Houston and the Bowery. It is a small park, but it is a remarkably secluded island of calm surrounded by vast urban ocean.
